MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT

STRADA worked with the City of Meridian on this project which began in 2015. STRADA is working directly with the City of Meridian, Mississippi to identify root causes for sewer backups and sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) reported in the sewer collection system with a municipal sanitary sewer diagnostic assessment study.

Our field diagnostic work includes the location of existing manholes, confirmation of pipeline connectivity, video documentation of manhole and pipeline condition, collection of asset attribute data for integration into geographic information system (GIS) software, identification of pipeline blockage/structural problems, and recommendations for corrective action. Based on our alternatives analysis and discussions with the City, STRADA is prioritizing each action item within the corrective action list intended to prevent future SSOs and adequately reduce deleterious infiltration and inflow into the City’s sanitary sewer system.
