BUS RAPID TRANSIT SYSTEM

STRADA provided owner’s representative services for a 10-mile-long bus rapid transit (BRT) development program. The project requires the integration of complex owner interests by the local municipality, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration, and the regional transit authority.

The BRT program includes construction management of 11 bid packages, communications across a metropolitan area of 1.2 million people and 25 affected neighborhood groups, purchase of advanced transportation technologies, and procurement of rolling transit stock. The total project budget is $40 million, and a critical timeline demands that all construction be finalized by the summer of 2021.
